I am making this pattern into a summer dress for my granddaughter who is tall and slim, so the pattern fits, except she is short waisted so I fitted the pattern before cutting.  She selected a monotone small floral print in a pinky-beige fine cotton and I am using inherited antique lace from the period  (from a great aunt who was a dressmaker in 1912.) I will not remove the fabric from under the vertical lace as she doesn't want to display her underwear, and we shortened the dress to knee length with a 10" pleated flounce which is more in proportion to the shorter length.
