New to the VPLL1912 Project, I began with the easy-to-download Spring Hat. Included were a hat illustration, wire armature diagram and minimal instructions, with suggestions for fabrics.
It was interesting to know I was recreating a 1912 millinery design – and fun to construct the wire base, but slightly confusing to construct the hat with such vague directions. Other participants’ posts were extremely helpful references. I liked Lion de Fleur’s innovations and photographs.
