This skirt is quite straight forward to make. The interesting scallop at right side is decorative only. .This scallop would be a easy detail to add to a modern pattern.
The skirt fastens at left side with hooks and eyes, or for modern sewers a zip. The skirt has a raised waistline.
I used a medium cotton – the scallop detail does not show up as well as I hoped dispite adding top stitching.
If making again I would make using a wool flannel.
I needed to add a seam allowance around the scalloped edge.
